Moto Leather Jacket All Saints
Happy Friday!! For this week’s Fit Review Friday, I have some petite-friendly items from All Saints which you may have already seen if you follow me on Instagram (where I also shared a coupon code for 20% off last weekend…did anyone pick anything up with it?). As per usual, you can find my measurements for comparison here.
A note before I begin: I ordered these items upon realizing All Saints now carries size US00, a size which I hadn’t seen before, and only seems to be available on newer fall arrivals, leading me to believe it’s a new development. I get so excited when designers and better brands start making more petite-friendly sizing, since I know how boring it is to get stuck purchasing from the same three companies over and over and over… So, if you’re similarly sized to myself and in need of coats and jackets, All Saints may be a new brand to add to your rotation!
One more note…the wood and pipe clothing rack in these photos is now on sale for $99 plus an extra 25% Friends and Family discount. Pick it up here with code FNFWOW (thru 10/12) for a total purchase price of $74.99! A better look at it here.
On to the review…
The short length and tailored fit of this coat on the model made it an easy choice to test for a petite-friendly fit. Also, ever the fan of leather accents, the stand leather collar made this an even more enticing item. As you can see, what is short on the model is knee length on myself, and that tailored cut is indeed quite fitted. Size up if you plan to layer heavily, since when buttoned, there wasn’t a whole lot of extra room at the waist on me. I tested by layering a blazer underneath, and I was just barely able to button it, so it could certainly make a great topcoat for milder winter days. Contouring down the torso gives it a nice shape at the waist, which is helpful on a coat this long so my figure doesn’t get lost. The sleeves are sufficiently slim, just enough room for some light layers, while still looking nice and trim. A single hidden button at the end of each sleeve allows you to fold the cuff for a little styling.
Overall, I love this piece! The color is a nice dark charcoal and the leather stand collar gives it some character. The tailoring at the waist feminizes what it otherwise a very masculine style coat. But most of all, I love that small shoulder! Definitely a keeper for me!
The approximate measurements of size 00 are as follows (laid flat & buttoned):
Shoulder: 13.5″
